The Simpsons as anime Characters and others!

The latest installment of The Simpsons’ “Treehouse of Horror” puts the Simpsons family in an assortment of costumes. In the clip you see Maggie as Pokemon’s Pikachu, Lisa, dressed as Mikasa from Attack on Titan, Bart as Naruto from the Naruto series, Homer as Zoro from One Piece, and Marge as Rangiku from Bleach. Still don’t know what Santa’s little helpers dragon character was from. Afterward there are references to Adventure Time, Archer, South Park, and more. The family also meets their Tracey Ullman Show counterparts. But this isn’t the first time that The Simpsons has made tribute to anime. They had a small dedication to Hayao Miyazaki clip too. And also the took a stab at Ultraman, Jun from Kagaku Ninjatai Gatchaman or G-force ASTRO BOY and Sailor Moon as well. I truly think that all these derive from the love the writers have for anime and how it reaches out to everyone. The clips are down below.

African Americans in comics

As a African American kid growing up, I always wanted to see more black characters as lead rolls. Because lets face it we are all put as side kick characters  or not even prominent at all! Now I know we have token heroes like Blade, The Falcon, Green Lantern(John Stewart) and Static. But I want a Black hero who is main stream just like Batman or The Hulk. Now with Marvels new rendition on Ultimate Spider-Man we just might have that moment. Here is a video by BlackNerd to speak on it. And he also talks about The very first African American pink ranger from Power Rangers Dino Charge.
